Red List Assessments highlight the extinction risk faced by plant species in the wild, raise awareness for the need to protect them and aid prioritization for plant conservation efforts. Currently, plant species are selected from the IUCN Red List of Threatened species. It is in this context that the Botany Department of college, is concentrating its effort on RET plants conservation involving the students in all related activities. Now, nearly 120 red listed plants are conserved.
